BIO
Jessica Lemire is an up and coming independent Pop-R&b singer-songwriter and producer who works solo and collaboratively with other artists. She writes and performs for herself, while also writing for other artists on various projects. She also does a large portion of the production of her own music. Jessica is involved in every creative aspect of her work, from her album artwork, her fashion choices, music video concepts, writing, and production. Her songwriting explores the boundaries of love, loss, heartbreak, and the human experience. Though her personal songs tend to pull influence from Pop, Soul, and R&b, she doesn’t limit herself in her writing.
Jessica will be working on an upcoming debut EP that is that is deeply intimate and vulnerable. This project, being a debut, will be very personal to who she is and a very forward introduction to her story and artistry. The EP will have between 4-6 songs that explore various stages of grief and an eventual rebirth. She will also be releasing some singles and planning a tour when COVID restrictions start to lighten.
Jessica was born in Camarillo, California on October 30th 1996. She grew up with two brothers and her parents and moved to Connecticut at the age of 10. Prior to moving to Connecticut she was very involved in local theatre, dance, and music, and continued to get involved after relocating. In high school she found her passion for songwriting. She taught herself guitar and began to take up piano lessons as well. She performed in many of her schools ensembles including; Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, an acapella group, and also starred in a few musicals.
After High School, Jessica moved back to California where she attended Fullerton College, and was in ensembles such as Concert Choir, Synergy, and J-Train. While there, she did multiple solo performances and performed with bands locally in gigs and showcases. She also studied traditional theory, jazz theory, and arranging.
From Fullerton, Jessica went on and transferred to Berklee College of Music to get her Bachelor’s degree in Professional music. Under the Professional music major she studied performance, songwriting, and recording and production for musicians. This allowed her to develop her artistry as a business and build well rounded skills as an independent artist.
Jessica’s career has been heavily influenced by collection of different artists and genres through out her lifetime. Growing up she listened to Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, 70’s rock, and Pop. Later on in life she began to really delve into jazz, neo-soul, rap, hip-hop, alternative, and many other genres.
